Goodbye pimples!
Hello puberty!
Long ago I had buried my own puberty somewhere in the back of my mind, in the “Oh dear” and “Oh-ho!” folders, when suddenly I found myself right back in the middle of it again — and this time, times two. I’m the mom of twins — a mixed pair. That means double the joy, but also double the trouble.
My daughter started going through her typical “teenage mood swings” a little earlier, while my son, like most boys, started about a year later — but it was all the more intense. And just when you think things can’t get any worse, pimples come along to top it all. For this shared emotional roller coaster ride, I can only recommend:
Buckle up, close your eyes, and go for it. For blemished skin, however, there’s a solution — Filabé. And no, not to hide under it, but to help the skin get rid of pimples and blackheads — it’s proven to work.
Hormones, hormones, hormones!
What’s actually happening in the skin? With the rush of hormones during puberty, the first pimples start to appear. This is due to increased sebum production and more frequent skin cell turnover.
The dead skin cells clog the pores, preventing sebum from draining properly. This creates ideal conditions for bacteria to multiply in the clogged pores and cause inflammation.
The skin in the T-zone of the face — forehead, nose, and chin — is oily and prone to breakouts. Incidentally, this is often even worse for boys than for girls, since male skin naturally has larger pores and produces more sebum.
What acne-prone skin really needs during puberty
Blackheads, pimples, or even acne can be a major burden, which makes it crucial to use the right skincare products. Especially when the skin is overproducing oil, it’s important to keep it free of fats, oils, preservatives, perfumes, emulsifiers, and alcohol.
Unlike all creams and other products, Filabé is free of additives and instead packed with highly concentrated active ingredients that no longer burden the skin but — as clinically proven — support and improve it.
It's all in the cloth!
So much for the theory, but how does it work in practice? With Filabé, it’s simple and effective. It’s worth taking a closer look. The ultra-fine microfiber cloths contain liposomes — tiny, cell-like spheres of active ingredients — in dry form. When the cloth is moistened, they release their full effect.
The skin is massaged and cleansed deep into the pores, while the active ingredients delivered effectivly to the skin.
Really smart and easy to use. For boys and girls. A bit like brushing your teeth. Every night before bed, Filabé is now part of our routine. This makes the most sense, since the skin regenerates at night.
Freed from all the day’s dirt and with the help of sebum-regulating active ingredients, the skin is soothed and clarified long-term, and the development of new blemishes is reduced. And all this practically while you sleep.
With my two kids, a noticeable improvement was already visible and tangible after just a few uses. It’s just a shame that no one has invented a cloth to combat those annoying mood swings yet. But we’ll get through that too. 😉
